About

Greetings, I’m Noelle Martin, and I sincerely appreciate your visit to my website. The inception of Mountain Air Yoga and Backpacking stems from my genuine desire to share the joys of these activities with others. I grew up engaging in the entrepreneurial pursuit of hunting nightcrawler worms, selling them as bait to fund a week-long adventure at summer camp. It was the highlight of my year, until I eventually spent my full summers working there as a counselor and later a director. I liked being in nature, at the lake and making new friends. Embark on an elevated adult retreat experience with me at Mountain Air – a refined version of the classic summer camp.

The joy I experienced while working at a summer camp, engaging with children and organizing activities, inspired my journey into the field of teaching. I have a bachelors in communications, masters in teaching, and administrative license in education. Following several years of fulfillment in teaching elementary students, the realization dawned upon me that I could share my greatest passion—yoga. This led me to pursue a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification, including specializations in yin and children’s yoga. In addition to my passion for teaching, I thrive on the exhilaration of backcountry snowboarding and have taken on the role of organizing the renowned Oregon Splitfest for numerous years.

As a proud mother of two teens: “Mountain & Air,” I am blessed with an extraordinary husband. Not only does he share a passion for skiing, but he also actively contributes in numerous ways to the endeavors of Mountain Air Yoga.
