WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?

We cap the backpacking retreat at 15 participants and the paddle retreat at 8.

ARE THE RETREATS GENDER INCLUSIVE?

Yes, absolutely! Everyone is welcome.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE RETREATS?

Age 18 and older.

WILL YOU FIND A ROOMMATE FOR ME IF I COME BY MYSELF?

Yes. Many people attend the retreats without a friend or a partner.

ARE THE RETREATS SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS? 

The retreats are designed to meet people right where they are. No prior experience in yoga, hiking, paddling or other spiritual practices is necessary.  There are numerous reasons why people choose to experience a retreat. With an open mind and heart, participants usually find that their retreat experience is exactly what they needed at the time. For the backpacking retreat, if you aren’t sure if your health if up for it check with your primary care doctor for advice on your fitness for backpacking.

IS YOGA THE MAIN FOCUS OF THESE RETREATS? 

No. While a gentle yoga practice is included as a tool to deepen one’s experience of the present moment and bring one closer into alignment with their higher self, yoga is only a part of the experience. 

ARE THERE PRIVATE BATHROOMS? 

Backpacking – there are 2 outhouses and no sinks.        Paddling – Depending on the accommodations you choose bathrooms and showers may be shared between retreat attendees. Individual bath towels are provided.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE A SPECIAL DIET?

Our meals are vegetarian with a variety of grains and vegetables. Gluten-free choices will be available.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate more involved allergies.  Please let us know if you have concerns and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE BACKPACKING RETREAT?

We recommend that you bring layered comfortable clothing for classes, yoga and meditations, warm outdoor clothing, beanie and/or rain gear, personal toiletries, a watch as cell phones are strongly discouraged, a journal,  good walking/hiking shoes, trekking poles, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, small pillow, yoga mat, cabin shoes/slippers/booties/sandals for walking around the cabin, towel and wash cloth if desired.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE PADDLE RETREAT?

We recommend that you bring layered comfortable clothing for classes, yoga and meditations, warm outdoor clothing and/or rain gear,  personal toiletries, a watch as cell phones are strongly discouraged,  a journal,  good walking/hiking shoes, yoga mat, swimsuit, water shoes, lake towel, sunglasses, sunscreen. Linens and bath towels are provided at the paddle retreat.

WHAT NOT TO BRING?

We request that guests do not bring personal computers, novels, alcohol, children, pets, recreational drugs, scented body products, or tobacco products. Personal cell phone use is limited to 10 minutes per day.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO PAY TO RESERVE A SPOT?

50% of the cost of the retreat, which may vary by the room that you are staying in for the paddle retreat.

WHEN IS THE BALANCE OF THE RETREAT DUE?

30 days prior to the start of the retreat.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

30 days prior to start of retreat – 100% refund; between 1 month & 1 week prior to start of retreat – 50% refund, less than 1 week prior to start of retreat – No refund. If cancellation is due to illness, payment can be transferred to an upcoming retreat.
